LEADERSHIP
Volunteer service. Open governance. Riders who lead.
The Domestique Cycling Club Board governs the club, oversees its operations, and protects the standards described in the Code of Conduct. Board members are volunteers who serve in addition to their professional and personal lives.
DCC's board is made up of riders who lead. Four of the five current board members are Pink Jerseys, leading club rides regularly in addition to their governance work.
DCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Board meetings are held monthly and open to members. Minutes and major decisions are shared with the membership.

TARA KRIESE
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Tara came to cycling later in life, curious and a little intimidated. What kept her riding wasn't the gear or the Strava stats. It was the riders who waited at the top of climbs and made it feel like she belonged.
She also noticed the gaps: how hard it could be for new riders, women, BIPOC riders, and anyone outside the typical mold to find their place in cycling. Domestique started in 2025 with a small group of women's rides built around care, consistency, and accountability. Those rides became the blueprint for the club.
Tara was the first Pink Jersey. As Founder and President, she leads the board, sets the club's strategic direction, and protects the standards DCC was built on.

SETH MASON
DIRECTOR
Seth grew up in Rhode Island and learned early that bikes can both inspire joy and occasionally launch you over the handlebars. One childhood dismount of note did little to slow him down. He's logged miles in San Francisco and through Syracuse winters, and now rides out of Culver City.
He's never been lured by racing. He treats the bike as the most sensible way to get anywhere, and he believes almost any trip is better by bike, especially if it's with good people and involves coffee.
Seth is a Pink Jersey. He works as a manager of software engineers and brings operational and team-leadership experience to the board.

PAULA PINHAS
DIRECTOR
Paula grew up riding bikes in a beach city. In her early 20s, a serious accident left her jaw locked shut for nearly six months. She didn't get back on a bike for 30 years.
The year she turned 50, her husband passed away suddenly. She decided she had to do things that scared her to shake herself out of grief. She joined a group of cyclists from her spin class. They were nervous-making and encouraging in equal measure, and they helped her push past the fear. Twenty years later, cycling is a central part of her life.
Paula is a Pink Jersey. She joined the board to help build a club where care, community, and inclusion are the standard, not the exception.

MAXI ROBERTS
DIRECTOR
Maxi is a fashion designer by trade. She started riding bikes after working with Specialized in the wind tunnel, designing uniforms for Team USA Speedskating and Bobsledding for the 2018 Olympics. The team there was appalled she didn't own a bike and peer-pressured her into what's become one of her favorite pursuits.
She found Domestique by bumping into Tara on the Marina bike path and joining a Palos Verdes ride on the spot. The community is what's kept her coming back.
On the board, she leads design and brand for the club. She designed the entire 2026 kit, every graphic drawn by hand.

GINNY TURNER
DIRECTOR & SECRETARY
Ginny rekindled her love of cycling in her 20s, started mountain biking in the Santa Monica Mountains, and signed up for her first triathlon on a borrowed mountain bike. The camaraderie, the support on race day, and the feeling of crossing the finish line hooked her. She went on to compete in national and world triathlon championships.
Her true love is the bike. Group rides, seeing Los Angeles from a perspective you can only get on two wheels, discovering places you'd never find from a car. She joined Domestique because she believes in the mission and is dedicated to supporting the riders building this community together.
Ginny is a Pink Jersey. As Secretary, she keeps the board's records and supports DCC's governance and accountability.
